At the clinic you will be received by a host of experienced doctors who will administer counseling which is the first step in HIV Test Singapore. On average the counseling session may take 30 minutes to 1 hour and we encourage all sexually active patients to come with their partners. The second step is HIV testing and we test each individual separately unless as a couple you agreed to take the test together. The test is also done openly for all participants to see.
The third step is the reception of the HIV test results and disclosure. This step is very crucial and we give a final counseling session depending of your HIV results. Those whose tests are negative are encouraged to keep testing regularly. Sexually active individuals are encouraged to use condoms as a means of protection if and when they are not sure of their partner’s status. HIV Positive test requires that the individual is put on medication but it all depends on the willingness of the individual.
